...focused on threads for quite some time. But it turned out that working with the spinning wheel easily ends up following thoughts, that cannot be brought to a proper end as easily as a textile thread. So my spinning wheels are now standing still why I work out the thoughts they initiated. After writing about the parallels of Industrialization and the "epidemic death" of the fairy tales, that I assume Jakob and Wilhelm Grimm sealed unintentionally, although not accidentally, I found myself busy with questions of how technology influences human existence and self-conscience. So the main topics of my current work are philosophical aspects of technological development. Regarding the fact that modern life depends on technological devices, there is no taking the easy way out and reject what I, too, am using daily. But unquestionable support of technological progress ignoring what lies beneath appears poorly to me, too. The man-machine-relationship is far to complex to be taken for granted or to be simply damned. There is no simple "pro" or "contra" to it and therefore it cannot be understood using these categories. This is one reason why I, Philosopher in the first place, need to articulate myself and my thoughts in three dimensions from time to time. Also my philosophical work is influenced by a group of philosophers I am partaking in. Not only the "Grimm-text" mentioned above is a result of working in this context, but also Axel Schünemanns analysis of a german proverb, which irritates by its obvius hostility, can be regarded as such.
